Tony Woods
Tony joined the NHS, as a school leaver on a Youth Training Scheme in 1988. He got involved in Medical Audit in the early 1990s and developed a interest in quality management leading to an MSc in Managing Quality in Healthcare from the University of Birmingham.
Tony moved into Health Informatics in 1999 and has focused much of his career on developing the use of information to support service improvement. Tony is currently Head of Information & Intelligence for Liverpool Primary Care Trust.
Away from work Tony enjoys reading biographies and has a passion for rugby league. A long standing St. Helens fan he is also the vice chairman of the Liverpool Buccaneers amateur rugby league team.
