Dr Sarah Pinto-Duschinsky is the chief executive of Commissioning Support for London, an organisation which currently provides a ‘shared service’ model of support to London’s 31 primary care trusts (PCTs). CSL’s core vision is to become a centre of excellence for commissioning across London. We innovate to minimise duplication and support PCTs in their quest to drive up efficiencies across London’s NHS. We provide commissioning support, data analysis and integration, commissioning tools and intelligence to our customers.

Sarah joined Commissioning Support for London (CSL) in September 2009 as the Executive Chair to lead the organisation as it started to deliver against its challenging agenda to provide clinical and business support to NHS commissioners across London.

Before joining CSL Dr Pinto-Duschinsky was Chief Executive of NHS Harrow – a post she held for more than 18 months. Prior to that, she was Deputy Chief Executive at East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, with particular responsibility for strategy and capital planning. She has also worked at both Strategic Health Authority and Regional Office levels. Sarah joined the NHS Management Training Scheme in 1999. Prior to that she worked as an academic having been awarded a doctorate which examined the role of intellectual property in the commercial strategy of start up biotechnology firms.
