Dr Mark Davies, a practicing GP in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, joined The NHS Information Centre in 2008 as the organisation’s first Executive Medical Director. The NHS Information Centre is England’s central authorative source of health and social care information.
Previously he was National Clinical Director for NHS Connecting for Health, establishing the clinical contents service, for which he remains Senior Responsible Officer
He has been medical director for the NHS Connecting for Health Choose and Book programme and clinical advisor to the Department of Health.
Prior to this he was medical director of one the largest GP urgent care organisations in the country, and was involved in the reforming emergency care agenda for West Yorkshire.
